Well, we've had fun today, haven't we? Yes, yes we have. To whit:

In order to comabt my pmsy blues, we ventured out in the pissing down, holey-frickin'-moley-this-ain't-my-southern-california rain to pick up a lovely mirror for our bathroom, which brings us one step away from completing that interrim remodel.

We, like gazillions of Americans, are nesting in this time of crisis, because, what the fuck else can we do? Fix things near to home, since we're helpless to fix things abroad.

So, we invest much importance into choosing just the right mirror, the best light fixture, we build handcrafted things, to make us feel like we have some sort of control over something, whilst the world tumbles merrily along into fire and brimstone.

*SO* glad we found the perfect mirror.

And, while we were running those essential errands, we made a beauteous discovery. My honey's car, which he just picked up on Thursday, after it being in the shop for two weeks from a rear-ender he experienced before X-mas, has an unforseen issue. We were driving, he appropriately hits the brakes going into a turn and "whooooosh!" -- a veritable waterfall came rushing from the trunk into the back seat and onto the back floor. A collective "oh shit!" was our response.

Apparently, there was a bit of damage to the trunk that no one notices, or fixed. And because of our hellacious rain, we learned of this quickly -- the entire spare tire wheelwell filled up and made a hasty exit upon braking.

It's Sunday, and it's still pouring, and although we have a garage, it is still filled with boxes. So, until tomorrow morning, the car will sit in the driveway and fill back up.

Wheeeeee!

Thank god this is on someone else's insurance.
