Insanity, sheer insanity.

My mother-in-law is a complete sweetie, and we are fast friends. In fact, she is SUCH a bonus to my relationship with N, I just cannot even express how lucky I am in that dept.

She also has a friendship with a large upholstery shop in Chicago -- and when they are getting rid of old fabrics (they only store over-buys for a certain amt. of time), she gets first pick of the crop. We have amazing velvet curtains in our bedroom, and have recovered 3 pieces of furniture in sumptuous velvet because of this. $100/yard kind of velvet. My god, we are lucky.

And now, the new shipment has come in -- silks. Incredible! Raw silk in creams and cocoas and indigo. Pale as porcelein blue and green and gold. Heavier, shinier, two-tones in red-brown, deep chocolate and sage. Yards and yards and yards of it. A complete treasure trove of varied color and texture.

I am astounded with the beauty of this fabric.

And from it, my mom and I will be crafting a bedspread for us -- a summertime patchwork, the richness and likes before I have not seen.

Oooh! Wriggling with excitment.

So, back to some structure here, so I don't spin into a puddle of bloop. Today, I shall:

1. Finish laundry
2. Get food for, and make, dinner
3. Start reworking my newborn parenting class for mid-june
4. Maybe do a flyer to distribute for said class
5. Go for walk with dog.

That will be enough. I'm sure I'll cram other stuff in, too. But, I need to be okay with just doing stuff on the list.

Whew. Off to walk.
